This year again, we have a special session waiting for you.

We have two 3-day sessions:

1st Session
20 – 22 August

2nd Session
24 – 26 August

Workshop Day
23 August

Screenings
22 & 26 August

The first session is dedicated exclusively to music videos. We especially encourage bands and musicians to apply!

The second session is the “classic” Kino Datsche session, where you can create films in any form or genre.

Registration opens mid-June.

Celebrating 10 Years of Kino Datsche

Our 10th Kino Kabaret in Leipzig will take place from 20.8.2025 to 27.8.2025. Come over to see the final results at the screenings!

First screening will take place on 23.08.2025 at hp7 from 7pm (film start at 9pm).

Second screening is on 27.08.2025 at Luru-Kino from 8pm.

Although funding has already been approved, the Leipzig Kulturamt – as with over 200 projects in the city – is currently unable to disburse any funds due to a budget freeze. For us, this means that we are about to start the event, have numerous registrations, but no financial planning security.

As our venue (the HP7) can only be used in summer, the date remains the same – postponing is not an option.

We are therefore dependent on donations in order to be able to realize the project. Even small amounts help us.

Perhaps you know other people who are interested in the independent film scene, self-organized cultural work or the KinoKabaret – we would be delighted if you would pass on this appeal.
